Project Description

An ingenious rainwater system for all green areas will be installed at the iconic Sluishuis that rises in the IJ in Amsterdam. The rainwater is collected and is delivered to all plantcontainers in the right amount at the right time via a fully automatic dosing system. Once a plantcontainer has enough, the rest goes to a lower plantcontainer or eventually, like all the excess rainwater from the roof, to the parking garage. There it is stored in a tank of 40m3. From there it can be pumped up again during dry periods.
